"The First Saturday Mountain Strings Gathering" is held at The East Tennessee Coffee Co. the first Saturday of each Month starting at 12:pm until 3:pm in Newport, Tennessee. This is a gathering of old time mountain music musicians, all musicians and the public are encouraged to come and join in are just listen. The address is 238 E Broadway Newport,Tn 37821. Exit off I-40 at Ex435 (hwy 321) follow 321 north to Broadway ( the third red light ) turn right go through the first red light to next left (321) the coffee shop is on the left right before hwy 321 turns to the left. Parking is behind the shop right after you turn left on 321. The coffee shop is across the street from Newport Hardware.

Our Winter Jam gathering is November through April. We practice all year around at 6:pm on Wednesday Nights at the Coffee Shop, you are welcome to come and have a coffee and listen. The shop is open.
